<유령들>에서는 경기도 포천의 노동요 <방아타령>을 배경음으로 제작한 작품으로 지역 보존회에서 보존을 하는 노래로 더 이상 노동의 현장에서 불리지는 않는다. 협동을 하며 우리들 눈에 보이는 노동이 아닌, 디지털 노동 등 보이지 않는 곳으로 사람들이 배치된다. 반면 우리는 클릭 몇 번으로 노동을 주문한다는 것 조차 인식하지 못하는 사이 노동을 주문한다. 노동요를 부르는 목소리가 서서히 사라지고, 그 자리를 보이지 않는 노동을 주문하는 오류와 경고 사운드가 덮어버리듯이… 우리가 우리 스스로를/ 그들을 유령으로 만들어버리는 것은 아닐까?
‘The Ghost’ use the farmer’s folk song <Bang-a Ta-ryeong(Song for Mill)> in Pochen, Gyeonggi-do, Korea that were usually sung while farming together to forget how hard it was. However this song haven’t been sung while working any more. Like that, labors that we can physically watch and need collaboration to complete are gradually disappeared. In addition, while people cannot notify, many kinds of labor and people in it move behind digital area. And they hire labors by few clicks whilst they don’t recognize they order labors, like famers voice, sung the folk song having been gone and digital sound replacing on that. That is, we would make them/ us be ghosts.
